The effect of Positive Psychological Capital, Social Support, and Educational Service Quality on Core Competencies of College Nursing Students

Abstract
In this study, in order to analyze various and practical core competencies of nursing students who are future nurses, the individual factors, environmental factors, and school characteristic factors of the subjects were set as independent variables to investigate the factors affecting the core competencies. In addition, by analyzing the relationship between variables and providing various ways to manage these variables, we intend to present a basic plan for improving the core competency achievement level of nursing students.
This study was conducted on 210 nursing students attending a university located in U-si, Gyeonggi-do, who understood the purpose and method of this study and agreed to participate in the study.
As a result of the study, the factor that had the greatest influence on the core competency of nursing students was positive psychological capital, and the general characteristic was religion. Through the results of this study, it was found that positive psychological capital had the greatest influence on core competencies. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the positive psychological capital of nursing students, and to develop and apply a positive psychological capital enhancement program.
In conclusion, it was suggested to identify the variables affecting positive psychological capital by classifying various groups and general characteristics in detail, and to develop a management plan for this.
